Her Name Was New York

This project tells the story of a young woman—a student at NYU majoring in film who secretly longs to be in front of the camera. Set in a crumbling, dreamlike version of New York City, she becomes trapped in a loop—reliving the same day over and over. As she tries to break free, the loop only becomes stronger. The longer she stays trapped in the loop the faster her mind unravels. But somewhere along the spiral, she begins to feel something watching her. A camera. The very thing she’s always wanted.

The moment she looks at the camera, the loop starts over. But eventually she realizes that she is finally living her dream. She’s no longer trying to escape—she’s the star now. And that’s enough. She accepts the loop, accepts the city. It may not be real, but it's hers.

This series explores ambition, identity, performance, and the haunting line between reality and dream. It's about wanting to be seen—and what happens when that desire consumes you.
